King Dylan loves to rap, sing, play piano and jump around. He also loves to stroke his own ego, get serious and emotional, and use his charm to get money out of old ladies. This solo Hip Hop/Pop-rock musician takes the talent and emotion from Eminem and mixes it with the bouncy, energetic humour of 3OH!3 and the rock/hip hop influence of Linkin Park. Some people have described this musical emotional experience as similar to petting a cute puppy, breaking up with the love of your life, or watching a senior citizen in tighty whitey's pull off spectacular cartwheels.
Dylan Roberts took a quote from his High School yearbook where a cute girl wrote “You're The King!” and he used all of his brain power for hours to formulate “King Dylan”. So the hip hop career began by combining his awesome name with his ability to write personal, witty rhymes and make noise sound good on various musical instruments.
King Dylan has been found performing live and collaborating in the studio with local and national superstars, such as Juno-award winners Swollen Members, Moka Only, The Scalebreakers, SonReal, Transit, Makeshift Innocence, Ricca Razor Sharp and rock band Broken Ride. “Disheartened” is King Dylan's fifth self-produced, independently released album in 6 years amongst numerous other writing, production, and mixing credits through running his own private studio.
