Heroes and Cons is what you get when you mix an intense passion for music and frustration for a hometown's dying scene. Throw in a heavy dose of Do-It-Yourself ethic, and you've got one of the few bands in Miami that mean it.
Formed in the summer of 2009, Adam Fernandez (vocals, guitar), Neil Goldman (lead guitar), Sam Bush (bass), and Greg Bush (drums), set out to achieve one thing and one thing only: to make music they themselves wanted to hear. Almost immediately after forming, the band began writing the songs that would appear on their self-produced debut album, Gone As Ghosts. And only a year later released their second self-produced album, The Artist Aesthetic.
Armed with a punk rock sensibility, the band has a wide range of influences, from Green Day and Paramore to Brand New and Rise Against. Known for their energetic live show, catchy melodies, and cryptic lyrics, Heroes And Cons is a band that demands to be experienced live, because it's one thing to have your ears be educated by the sounds of a band that truly means it. It's another thing to have right in front of your face!
