Kielen (kee-lin) King is an electronic music composer and has been involved in numerous projects. His experiences include having created theme songs/music for shows such as The Rick Emerson Show, Geek in the City Radio, and Don't Panic Portland.
In 2008, Kielen’s Trip-Hop/Downtempo band Azure Noir (http://azurenoir.com), released "Addicted to Blue." 2009 saw the release of the instrumental album "Soundtrack for an Automated Night." In 2011 Kielen released Star Pilot's Lament (A musical sci-fi epic) with the second edition to be released in 2012.
Kielen’s music has been described as having a "post hip-hop" sound. The compositions often carry a dark, melodic sound which often ventures into aggressive and sinister. The influence of hip-hop music is clearly evidenced by his use of aggressive drum tracks to complement the instrumentation.
While not known for mimicking the sound of others, Kielen’s sound has a uniqueness of it's own that makes it extremely versatile and useful if you are looking for something a little different from what you're used to hearing.
