“Who is Mason Douglas and where has he been all my life?”
These are the inquiring words that were written by acclaimed reviewer, Robert K. Oermann, of Music Row Magazine. Regarding Mason’s first single, “Anything Can Happen”, Mr. Oermann went on to quote “I don’t know when I have heard a more accomplished debut single. And he wrote it all by himself. Give that man a Discovery Award. The CD is titled MY WILD HEART, and you can bet I’ll be playing the rest of it.”
Nashville country music artist, MASON DOUGLAS has been receiving quite a bit of attention lately…from his recent feature in the Country Music Association's CMA Close-Up Magazine's Debut Spotlight…to opening for acts such as Trace Adkins, Jewel, Randy Houser and legends like Vince Gill and T. Graham Brown…as well as performing a recent private cast party for the film “The Wettest County In The World” where cast member SHIA LABEOUF told Mason “That’s some good s*&#!”
A Tucson, Arizona native, Mason loves the Arizona Wildcats, the Dallas Cowboys, and a dry bottle of red wine. He grew up in an Air Force household and, to this day, deeply supports the United States Armed Forces. Mason’s patriotic anthem, “Home Free”, is a frequent song with syndicated DJ’s “Big D & Bubba” and is available to download at www.MasonDouglasMusic.com. Proceeds from “Home Free” go to the ALS Association, which assists victims and their families to help fight ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease), the disease that afflicted and took Mason’s father.
A career highlight for Mason Douglas came recently during an interview during CMA Fest with legendary WSM DJ, Bill Cody. After Mason performed his song, “People Fall In Love”, Mr. Cody said on-air: “There are those moments, they are rare, but they have what we call the ‘it-factor’ in this studio – the unexplained, the mysterious. There is just something about them. And THAT was one of them…I mean that sincerely.”
Mason Douglas’ new album, MY WILD HEART, released on L.A. based, Rural Rhythm Country Records, is available on iTunes as well as www.MasonDouglasMusic.com.
