Oakie was born in the early 80's in the city of Toluca. Since he was kid he was always motivated by music and sounds, but it was in 1996 when he had his first contact with electronic music, Dj's such as Sasha, John Digweed, Danny Howells, Lee Burridge, Anthony Pappa, Jeff Mils, Dave Seaman, Carl Cox, Danny Tenaglia, Nick Warren, Richie Hawtin, Paul Oakenfold and live acts such as Orbital, Underworld, Massive Attack, the Chemical Brothers, New Order and Depeche Mode have been his greatest musical influence to date.
In 2002 he started to work as a professional DJ, since then his career has always been on the rise. His great talent and incredible performances have taken him to get the admiration and respect of many of the most important DJ's in the electronic music scene, both national and international, his sets are really perfect, with great feeling, and incredible in terms of technique and musical selection, he is excellent at warming up, and as main act he can leave your head buzzing.
During these 9 years he has shared the stage with Sasha, Nick Warren, Chris Fortier, Jimmy Van M, Anthony Pappa, Steve Parry, James Zabiela, Lee Burridge, Dave Seaman, Audiofly, Kevin Yost, Satoshi Tomiie, Peter Bailey Carlo Lio, Norman H, Marcelo Castelli, Thomas Penton, Logiztik Sounds, Javier Bulssola, Seven Eleven, Eloi Brunnell, Mandy, Mapusa Mapusa, Nicholas Van Orton, Karlos Elizondo, Leo Leal, Jes Hernandez, Tini Tun, Martin Parra, Ramiro Puente, Gabriel Sordo, Light, Mike Montano, Sussie 4, B-Jay (RIP), Andres Mijangos, Klang, Tacho, and Benji Solis.
This year he was part of the line-up of "The BPM Festival," which currently is the most important festival of electronic music in Mexico, in which he performed with several DJ's, such as Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, Hernan Cattaneo, Marco Carola, Loco Dice, Lee Burridge, Damian Lazarus, Paul Ritch, Nick Curly, Sean Miller, David Morales, Carlo Lio, Butch, Paco Osuna, Stacey Pullen, Michael Mayer, David Squillace, Superpitcher, and Simon Baker, among others.
He currently lives in Cancun where he quickly positioned himself as one of the best exponents in the electronic scene of the Mexican southeast, he is the resident DJ of the best after hours in Cancun: "Red Blue By Night Club" and he is also working on his new projects with Jes Hernandez: the label "Mixe Music", which will be released in a couple of months, bringing a fresh sound, 100% underground; and they also work in music production with the project "Sodrum."
