"Paul Nowell is a trombonist, songwriter, and educator based in Los Angeles, California. He graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts where he received a degree in Trombone Performance. After he graduated from Berklee, he was asked to join the Glenn Miller Orchestra. With that band he performed around the world traveling to over 300 hundred cities, 28 of those in Japan. After his stint with Glenn Miller, he became trombonist on the Broadway musical Memphis which earned the Tony Award for Best Musical in 2010 all while attaining his masters in music.
On YouTube Paul Nowell is known as Paul the Trombonist and in just a year, his videos have totaled over half a million views. His music has been featured on the front page of Yahoo, MSN, Mashable, Ryan Seacrest's website, and even earned him a phone interview from Ellen DeGeneres’s producers. He has performed with jazz legends Jimmy Heath, Chico Hamilton and James Moody as well as other genres such as The Temptations, Four Tops, Spoon, The Spinners, Frankie Avalon, Bobby Rydell, Fabian, and the Backstreet Boy, Kevin Richardson. He currently resides in Hollywood, California where he has been performing, teaching and producing/songwriting pop music for other artists.
