Rebecca's singing debut was at the tender age of 6, where she sang "Away in the Manger" in church with her Mom accompanying her on piano. She forgot half the words and giggled through most of the song, but she was hooked.
Although she sang her way through her childhood and teenage years, it wasn't until she moved back in with her parents during time off in college that she found a new found love: the piano. Now she had something to sing with, and songs began to ooze out of her. Her hobby of singing was now propelled into a deep, mysterious love of baring her soul in songwriting. Rebecca began speaking up about her new found love, singing in churches, bars, living rooms and wherever she found a chance.
Originally from Huntsville, AL, Rebecca moved to Houston, TX in April 2011. She still really can't answer the question "Why?" except that God told her to. Thinking she might be leaving her dreams of sharing songs, she packed her bags and set out for a new adventure. Little did she know, that was just the beginning.
Recording her first EP due out in February 2012, Rebecca's songs are chronicles of her faith tested and tried with a God she loves. Although she has found a home in leading worship, her singer/songwriter heart continues to grow and take shape as she makes her first record...and she hopes you like the stories she has to tell.
