We were formed three years ago, with the idea that the band would be a joke.
I, Dan Faughnder, started writing stupid songs about stupid things just to make my friends laugh, but eventually it evolved into a real project. From the beginning, we’ve always believed that music should be free, so we’ve used many different services to spread our music on to the Innernette.
After the release of my first “real” EP, “No Randy No!, I recruited Sam Juneman to play violin with me, and that’s when it really took off. We met in Stockton, California at the Music Conservatory at University of the Pacific, and we have a shared passion for music. After another two EPs of energetic Folk-Punk and a California tour under our belts, we’re finally starting to get the hang of this “being a real band” thing.
Our new EP, The Arrested Cats, is something we’re really excited to show, and is an eclectic mix of frenetic, introspective folk-ish-punkish tunes. All of our records were recorded in our friend Ted Gabbard's garage for free, and we think he did a great job!
