Bio of R&B Artist J.Ira J. Ira is an up in coming R&B artist from the small town of Douglas, Georgia. Early on, he knew that a dream of a career in music would be his ultimate future. At the early age of five, he started singing with his church choir. The overwhelmingly positive reaction from his beloved congregation would initiate his musical journey. After graduating from Coffee County High School, he attended Talladega College where he pursued a B.A. in musical performance. During his time as a student he not only performed with an all male quartet, and the college choir, but was also an active member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., and the Delta Omicron Music Fraternity. After graduating, he decided to take his music career and dream to the next level. He began to focus on his growth as an R&B artist. A superstar in the making. A successful artist always has inspiration, and J. Ira is no exception. His beautiful daughter Jordynn will forever be his chief inspiration, but the artists that pioneered the R&B industry like Gerald Levert, Dave Hollister, and Boys II Men, have also made a deep impact on his musical career, delivery and lyrical style. J. Ira’s late father, Willie Doctor, also played a crucial role in his journey. His father, who passed away in July of 2008, gave him the drive to accomplish his long-term dream of being a professional R&B singer. J. Ira recognizes that without the on-going support that he receives from his family, friends and faith in God, he would not be where he is today. Although an extremely talented and innovative artist, J.Ira stays humble and remains steadfast on this extraordinary journey.
